Member-Pay Credit Disability Insurance

Credit disability insurance is voluntary and not required to obtain a loan or a credit card.

ELIGIBILITY
You are eligible only if you are working for wages or profit for 25 hours a week or more on the date of any advance. If you are not, that particular advance will not be insured until you return to work. If you are off work because of temporary layoff, strike or vacation, but soon to resume, you will be considered at work.

You are eligible for disability insurance up to the Maximum Age of 67. Insurance will stop when you reach that age.

PREMIUMS
The premium of this insurance coverage is paid by the member. The premium will be added to your loan balance each month. Your payment will remain the same. Except with credit cards, which payments are adjusted according to the balance.

CREDIT DISABILITY INSURANCE COST
Credit Disability rate per $100.00 of monthly outstanding loan balance is $.149. The rate you are charged for the insurance is subject to change. You will receive written notice before any increase goes into effect. You have the right to stop this insurance by notifying the credit union in writing.  Minimum loan term is 1 month and the maximum term is 120 months.

MAXIMUM MONTHLY TOTAL DISABILITY BENEFIT
Your loan payment not to exceed $750.00 per month.

MAXIMUM TOTAL DISABILITY BENEFIT (PER LOAN)
$50,000.00

TYPES OF LOANS COVERED
All loans made by the credit union are insurable, including credit cards, if the member otherwise qualifies.

PAYMENT OF BENEFITS
Claims are filed by the credit union. The insurance company sends a check to the credit union as allowed in the insurance contract.
